Spector Pro Review:
Summary:
Spector Pro is an excellent monitoring solution with many recording features
and a very well designed user interface. The only downsides are that we
experienced a slight, but noticeable performance impact and there is no way
to monitor remotely.
Features:
The screenshot features are probably the most impressive, allowing you to
select from a list of 'triggers' which determine when to begin taking
screenshots. Spector Pro records all major chat programs, email services,
and web browsers. Spector Pro can also record all keystrokes typed and sorts
the results by window title and program in which it was typed. In addition,
it can also record FTP transfers and programs run.
Management/Usability:
They did a great job in designing the user interface. It is very well
organized and appealing to the eye, making it easy to use, and configure.
You will, however need physical access to the computer to view the recorded
data as there is no remote monitoring capability - you can, however,
configure it to send you periodic email reports.
Detectability:
Spector Pro has a stealth mode which makes it undetectable. There are no
traces in task manager, the service list, or the Start menu.
Support:
They have live chat and phone support as well as an online contact form. Their online user manual is in-depth and helpful. |
